This settlement situated at 331 m above sea level, exactly on the dividing line between the municipalities of Lloret de Mar and Mafanet de la Selva, has been given the name of the mountain where it is situated. It can be accessed from the N-I1 road taking the turning into the estate with the same name.
The settlement dates back to Iberian and Roman times between the VI century b.C. and the I century a.C.
It is an Iberian settlement of the so called Oppidium type, walled in with a rectangular tower with rooms and silos.
Among the remains found are ceramics of Iberian, Emporitan, imitations of other areas and Atican importations as well as Iberian and Phoenician araphoras, bronee objects and iron agricultural tools. There are also elements of Litican industry.
Excavations have been carried out since 1978 and still continue.
